Think someone at that age can't have a perspective on life? Malala Yousafzai won a Nobel prize at 17 became a world wide activist at 15.

Any of you douchebags out there do better? There is Greta hate out there just because of her climate stance. Imagine that, hating a 16 year old.

Greta Thunberg tells Congress to ‘listen to the scientists’ and take real action on climate change.

That certainly wasn't all she said. And listening to science is great, the problem is where the science stops and the leftist agenda begins. Ban straws so they can feel like they're doing something while they do nothing.

What point do you think you're making here?

She is saying that you should listen to the science... and then you agree with it, but try to disagree with it at the same time.

No, she's throwing an emotional tantrum about her childhood dreams being taken away. She's talking in bumper stickers, not substance.

Serious off topic question.

Would any of you guys be happy with a 16 year old being your boss. Let’s assume the 16 year old is top tier qualified.

As far as Greta goes, yeah. If her childhood was stolen we should demand answers.

Do you know her full background?

Autism + selective mutism + OCD + depression from learning about it = anxious and introspective mess.

Her natural medium — as it is for many celebrities roughly of her generation — is the controlled stage of social media. There, she has called her atypicality a “superpower” and has been quite open and unguarded about the details: As a young child, she says, she was diagnosed not only with Asperger’s but obsessive-compulsive disorder and what’s called “selective mutism.” Beginning at age 11, seized by a deep depression about the fate of the world, she stopped talking and eating. That has led, she says, to the stunted growth that today gives her the appearance of a preteen, a wise-beyond-her-years golden child.

Please for the love of God don't compare the likes of Malala to an insignificant brat that is paid to go around touring protests and telling other people to do stuff.

Quite a difference, and simply insulting for you to compare her.

You wouldn't need a child to point out the Emperor's nakedness if he hadn't ensnared so many adults with the status and riches along with the fear of reprisal if they didn't go along with promoting and defending his invisible clothes.

Anyone that takes a stand politically is going to receive hate from people. That is just the nature of the game.

The problem is how Climate Change is political. But of course it requires political action to enact solutions. No avoiding that.

I've noticed a correlation between people resorting to specious analogies as the stupidity of their stances in a discussion increases.

Just a serious off topic observation for you to consider as you resort to trying your hand at analogy games.
