Greatest TV series

The Wire. Nothing else even comes close.

Other favorites would be Homicide, BSG (first two seasons) & Rome. None of them approach the utter brilliance of The Wire though.

I thought The Sopranos was decent but overrated. Oz was fun, but after a while it got repetitive (someone gets murdered, someone gets ass-raped, rinse, repeat.)

Edit: Mad Men has a lot of potential so far, but I've only seen about six episodes so I can't really judge.

[/CENTER]ent;30990722]Boy, I have not watched a single episode of like 95% of the ones you listed OP.

Quantum Leap is awesome though.

St tng? It's the only one that I would say has too be on that list.

Other good ones

Dead Like Me
Law and Order (The original and the early seasons.)
The Office (early episodes were the best)

TNG is fine I guess, but I've only watched maybe six or seven episodes.

My Deadwood Blu-ray boxed set just showed up, so I'll finally get to see that one.

Cheers
Fraiser
Seinfeld
I love Lucy
Andy Griffith Show - once Barney and Gomer left it sucked.
Two and a half men. So wrong its funny.

Dramas...I am less picky. I like a little but from each.

If we're counting miniseries then BoB was awesome, as was Generation Kill. From the Earth to the Moon had some excellent episodes, but some of them blew.

Aah yes, forgot about The Shield. Not quite up to the same calibre as my golden three (see above), but still an incredible show.

A-Team
Green Hornet
MacGuyver
Airwolf
Knight Rider

All shows with gratuitous use of "car flipping", lol. I myself fancy, in no particular order:

The Simpsons (Seasons 1-11 only)
BSG (New Series)
Firefly
ST: TNG
ST: Voyager
The Office (More reality, than reality TV)
Quantum Leap
How I Met Your Mother

I am sure there are more, but this is all I can remember at the moment...
