The thing is expose or whatever doesn't really make sense on windows because the toolbar is so much more efficient. Instead of pushing keys to see the windows I have open, I can simply look down. IMHO, microsoft got this one right a long time ago.

Actually the only feature I envy is Spaces.

I love spaces but never use it.

Every X Window Manager has had workspaces for years.

Link me to one that works like Spaces that I can install on Windows Vista and I'll be happy for many a day, n yusef. :)

Have like 3 programs and 5 different windows up and hit one key and get to see all of them and switch from window to window with ease.

Here are some examples of it in use

150 different windows? Nuts.
Another more typical use

I use this feature constantly when playing on the Mac.

I can't think of any other OS feature that I find as useful as this one.
It is really useful for killing pop-behind web ads that can get lost.

rolling through open windows in aero is fine for me.

I don't know about Windows, but I remember using multiple virtual desktops in Ubuntu 5.10.

Apple finally got with it. Microsoft is still in the last millennium of GUI design.

How when the toolbar shows all my programs I have open there? It's simple and easy to use.

Actually I like vista's way of doing it, and the toolbar in XP is still faster for me than either vista's or OSX's way of sorting pages. Apple's looks nicer, but aesthetics don't beat function and things just work better for me on the MS side.

And if for some reason you have 20 programs open, you just make it bigger and it still shows em all, all of the time.

Whoops... missed that completely. Guess that means it's bed time!

What's the point? I can clearly see at a glance what I have running on my taskbar in Windows 7. If I need to see a preview of the window I just hover my mouse over it's icon.

expose is there to cure the intrusive hot bar at the bottom that takes a quarter of the screen.

Not even close

Windows key + tab in Vista is pretty damn close, except instead of tiling the windows, Vista creates a stack or whatever.

I say it's not even close because the whole point of Expose is that it allows you to see all of your windows at once (or all of the windows in the current application). Flip3D lets you see the front window and the edges of other windows. Flip3D really doesn't offer anything that wasn't available years ago with non-3D alt-tab replacements, except that I think videos continue to play in Flip3D (a "cool" but unnecessary feature).

The tiling is what makes it so useful.

QFT.

I like OS X a lot; however, expose is little more than a fix/crutch for the horrible dock and fixed application menu/floating window implementation of OS X. The taskbar/start menu and window management in Windows is superior from a usage standpoint.

Of course, there are many other things that OS X does right.

I don't really see the point to this. How many programs can you interact with at one time? ONE. Sure you can have a gazillion open. But you still going to interact with them one at a time.
