UFO and then the Mickal Shenkar Group got a lot of play time in my system.

In the same vein:

Detective - one of the few bands on Swan Song (Led Zep, Bad Co., Pretty Things, & Detective)
Cactus - might I suggest Cactusology
Bloodline (first two albums) - Rock driven blues

If you were from Detroit and a child of the 70s you saw the MC5 in multiple small venues.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I wouldn't say them, as they were extremely successful in the 80s but their time just passed when hair bands fell out of fashion.

They've sold over 15 million albums and had a whole bunch of gold and platinum records and are still touring after 40 years. They never got the major success they deserved there's no way they can be called "very unsuccessful".

I don't know if I would consider "Kyuss" to be "unsuccessful" by any stretch of the imagination. There are now hundreds, perhaps thousands of imitation bands out there today, because they liked their sound so much. They may not have initially sold billions of albums and became uber rich, but they kinda crafted their own subgenre of stoner rock, and they have a huge following. At the very least, I would consider them to be Successful.

I agree with Browntown and GagHalfrunt about Blue Oyster Cult. They may not have been "super megastar" blablabla, but they are very successful.
