I was looking for a new TV and found some great prices on LED TVs from TCL on Amazon. I had never heard of TCL before but decided to give it a try after reading reviews. I also heard many people claiming TCL TVs often use Samsung panels.
I ended up going with the 42" TV for $390 ($4 one-day shipping with Prime!). Picture quality is awesome, even out of the box. Looks fantastic when calibrated. I wouldn't be surprised if it is indeed using a Samsung panel. Build quality is also really solid, and I like the metallic, thin bezel and the glass base. It's a good looking TV in every sense of the word!
The sound quality is pretty bad, though, and the remote is very basic. It's also fairly limited in the number of video inputs like most smaller and/or budget TVs. There's also a bit of backlight bleed, but nothing I haven't seen in nicer TVs or computer monitors before. It also has noticeable ghosting compared to my 120Hz Asus gaming monitor...but I think that's also pretty typical with most LCD TVs.
The 46" at the time was $460 but has gone up since. The 32" is currently $250. Seems like the prices fluctuate. Here's the link for the 42". You can switch between the other two models on the same page:
