The worst thing in Hollywood is actresses who want to play strippers, yet won't actually strip off all their clothes.

Who would watch racing movie, if the actor refused to drive a car? Or an action movie, where the actor wouldn't do any fight scenes.

Tits or GTFO!

Where is the gratuitous nudity in Robocop?

I've seen that movie (in bits and pieces) so many times, and can't remember any major T&A.

PG-13. It's OK to shoot a woman in the head and keep that rating, as long as long as her top stays buttoned.

Came in to post that.

If it's rated PG-13, it reaches a wider audience.

What's weird is that I think I've seen a few movies made in the 70s and early 80s which had PG-13 ratings but also had boobs, albeit flashes of them.

Gratuitous nudity left the theaters and found its new home in HBO, Showtime, and Starz series. See: Spartacus.

I don't recall there being any. Just chicks in lingerie and that one guy doing blow off some hooker's chests but they weren't even topless.

One movie that seemed totally out of place is Andromeda Strain. They're checking the houses and there just happens to be a hot but very dead topless chick.

The original Dirty Harry film had nudity. Death Race 2000 from the seventies had it, but the remake did not (and the remake was infinitely more violent).

I don't like this trend either... I feel a bit weird seeing nudity in a normal movie nowadays.

I think it's worse when they do have a sex scene but the girl never takes off her bra. What guy is going to be all, "No babe, I don't want to fumble at your breasts like a blind man working a doorknob... you keep that bra on!"

At least be like some shows/movies and just cover her conspicuously with a damn sheet.

:colbert:

What about the ones where the chick is like straddling the guy and they're obviously pretending to do it, making out and shit. Then she stands up and still has her panties on too. Yea that just happened.

What about boobs in random comedies such as Airplane or Monty Python's Meaning of Life? Our movies are suffering from a distinct lack of bare bosoms!

those were the best. random boobs for absolutely no reason.

This was a staple of 80s PG-13/R movies

(yes: PG-13 once had teh bewbs. :()

Anyway, it's the MPAA, whose rating system is determined by old, childless, fundy pricks.

This movies will answer all the questions in the OP.

how is this trolling? :\

you don't need nudity to make great films.

you don't.

but claiming that nudity should be banned b/c leads to moral decay is preposterously asinine.

that's why you were trolling, b/c it's obvious that you don't believe that.

ban nudity in movies. one less thing decaying the moral fiber of society.

Honestly if you think movies are causing this then you are out of your fucking mind. Novels, especially those directed at teenage girls have gotten far more sexually explicit and are directly linked to moral decay. At least we have the MPAA protecting us with movies and instilling positive values through their rating. I would like to see a federal novel rating system so that we can protect our youth from smut scenes in novels.

Indeed. Meanwhile, I not only get gratuitous boobage on HBO, I also get a fair amount of schlong thrown in to boot. Win-win!

The odd thing is, every other comedy these days seems to throw in a random dick shot. Male nudity has always been more taboo than female nudity, so perhaps it's just a way of continuing to shock a more desensitized audience?

Yeah - I've noticed that over the last couple of years too. Call me old fashioned but I want more cooter in my movies and less scholng :colbert:

I really miss old school R rated movies. PG-13 movies just feel so tame. R rated movies just have more edge to them.

I miss the style of 80s movies in general. Hollywood started to become way too safe from the 90s on.

You just won't get another 80s style action movie unless it's satire or a remake... and even the remake will be lame and miss the point.

Reminds me of a scene from The Aviator where Howard Hughs is fighting with the MPAA censors over "mammaries". The only think keeping them alive is studio execs who have no interest in the creative process of filmmaking. Then they wonder why there's so much contempt for them.

Watch Machete.

There's a super hot naked girl right in the beginning; you can stop watching after about 10 minutes if you want.
