cuz she teh shiznit!!!111

no effing way! not the shiznit enough to win that award...i can accept the best new artist even tho i don't agree with it. but damn...album of the year...

I think Norah Jones deserved every one of them. 2002 was a lame year for popular music, just like 2001. Everything else was just blasé, nothing has changed since 1996-97.

I'm happy she won it compared to the others.

Record Of The Year

"A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton
"Without Me" by Eminem
?"Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones
"Dilemma" by Nelly featuring Kelly Rowland
"How You Remind Me" by Nickleback

Seriously now... I would be MUCH more pissed off if Eminem, Nelly, Nickelback would've won it.

Album Of The Year

"Home" by the Dixie Chicks
"The Eminem Show" by Eminem
?"Come Away With Me" by Norah Jones
"Nellyville" by Nelly
"The Rising" by Bruce Springsteen

Here it might've been a bit closer, but still, at least Nelly didn't get it..

i couldn't believe my ears when Vanessa Carlton sang her song..
I honestly believe that i can sing way better than her..

A random sampling of ATOTers probably could probably sing better than her (and better than Avril Lavigne, too)..

I didn't watch; I ended up watching three hours of History Channel documentary on Desert Storm.

yea, i've found that live many singers just suck. avril and carlton sucked when i saw em on leno. singers like norah jones and diana krall always sound awesome, no post processing/coverup needed🙂

norah jones deserved 'em.....a fresh new voice and sound....something not heard from a long time..and very much welcomed.....

Faith Hill sings like she has a sore throat (and it better be a sore throat, otherwise yuck!).
Avril is destroying my eardrum, Vanessa Carlton sounds mediocre.
Norah Jones and John Mayer are the only one that sounds good.
The rest of them can just beat it. Trim the show to 30 minutes with ads.

Change the channel and watched Travel Channel "Modern Wonders of the World" instead.

Norah Jones dosent even write her own music.

She shouldnt have won.

She certainly should've won. It's why they have one award for the songwriter and one award for the artist. It's not like she had nothing to do with the album.

Avril was the big loser. she was nominated in about 7 or 8 categories and didn' t win anything.. ha haa! dumb girl.

I didn't watch all of it but I'll give you my take on what I saw.

Norah Jones was phenomenal and deserved all the grammy's she got.
Dustin Hoffman must take pronunciation lessons from Bush. Bruce Springstreet? 😕
Dixie Chicks were bad
NSYNC - God, I hate to say it, but they were absolutely great tonight. Very well done, and very emotional award.
Bruce and the E Street - I only heard "The Rising" and while it was ruff, that's how its suppose to be. The emotion behind it was second to none. "Bruuce, Bruuce, Bruuce!!!"
I thought the New York Phil sounded great.
John Mayer sounded good.
Nelly was very mediocre as was Avril.

Hint: The Dixie Chicks are always bad.

Avril mediocre? Nahhhhhhhh...
:Q
