I edited my posts. I honestly cannot spell most words correctly. Spelling is one of my greatest weaknesses. Thank you for pointing that out. I don't think I've ever made a post without a spelling error. Usually, I edit the spelling errors. Most of my posts have edits due to spelling errors.

No pigs were harmed during the construction of this sentence, nor the subsequent inane discussion thereafter.

Please correct me if the above is wrong.

I will start with the problems in the original sentence:

1 - You need to declair who Him is. Is him the person you are talking about in the passage? Is him the neighbor of the crops? Does the same person who owns the pigs own the land?

2 - Fields don't yield crops. Farmers harvest the fields for their crops and the amount of crop that they harvest from each field is the yield.

3 - Why did the pigs need the crops? Food? Bedding?

4 - Some is unecessary unless it is an estimate. In the event it is, use 10,000 and say approximately 10,000 instead of the word some.

Suggest:

The fields that John Farmer harvested for feeding his pigs now contain 10,050 photovoltaic panels.

Is 'that' really needed if you go this route?

I thought the singular "crop" was typically used to refer to either the handle of a whip or the gullet of a bird or cow for preliminary digestion of food. :p
