Not really. The controls feel good and it looks pretty good on the PC, so long as TXAA is off. SSAA looks great but is unplayable.

If only there was a compromise between MSAA and SSAA that could be offset with LOD bias and a post processing sharpener!

So you have the game? How is it so far? Would you recommend it?

It's worth playing for sure. I've always liked the Splinter Cell games. Has a good emphasis on the stealth component, but it does over-encourage you to run and gun at times, you do have the choice not to though.

Not sure how much it is selling for, $49.99 might be a stretch, but I got it for free with a video card purchase.

Nice! What did you get the Classies?

Yup. Don't have them in hand in yet though. Newegg.ca's creative shipping sent me the game codes from New Jersey while the cards are on the slow boat from California :) Got $1700 for the Titans and glad I managed to dump them before their resale price really fell out from under them.

Playing SC using my wife's 4670K/7950 machine.

Interesting to see if those Classies with overvoltage can beat your Titans. I think you sold them a the right time with rumors of possible Titan II. If the Classies don't satisfy your needs for $300 less a piece, then if Titan II comes out, you can get that.

It should be noted that this game (Splinter Cell: Blacklist) is one of the best PC games Ubisoft has developed in a long time. Typically, Ubisoft Montreal is in charge of the company's PC ports, and they're almost universally mediocre and un-optimized. Splinter Cell: Conviction - a measly Unreal 2 title - ran like crap on many systems (it had a notorious memory leak problem with shadows turned on high). The same can be said for most of the Assassin's Creed franchise; they're decent, but unpolished.

Blacklist, on the other hand, was developed by Ubisofts new branch in Toronto... and it looks like they have some very talented programmers there. Not only is Blacklist probably the best-looking Unreal title I've ever seen, it's also surprisingly well-optimized. Currently my single 7870 can play this game at 1080p, Ultra settings, and FXAA, with the framerate averaging in the 50-60fps range. It's a little bit stutter-y but I'm hoping that will be fixed with an upcoming patch and/or a driver update.

It looks incredible. The graphics quality is on par with the stuff from Nixxes. Ubisoft Toronto should handle all of the company's PC ports from now on I think.

I'm surprised that SSAA is causing such a hit, In Crysis 3 2x is only slightly more intensive than FXAA. It's still very playable with 4x on a 670 and probably a 660TI.
