I do. I live in Manhattan.

There's one thing to say that you don't agree with it and then there's another thing to call it pork. Roof on the Smithsonian? Pork. Long term planning so we can protect against disasters like this again? Smart.

Long term projects like reassessing, rebuilding, and reinforcing civil works has always been a part of these bills. This is why we have stronger levees in New Orleans now than we did before Katrina.

Your links above still show less than 1% of the total bill was unrelated spending. It was not 'loaded' with pork. It was canned because Boehner and Cantor got into a lady-slapping fight on Tuesday and used the citizens of New York and New Jersey as a political pawn. The decision to pull the bill is unconscionable and indefensible.

No, over 13 Billion of it is pork I don't give a rat's ass if you want the Feds to pork over billions to corporate interests in NY and NJ. If it's a disaster relief bill it won't include future mitigation, that should come in a future Bill. I can certainly understand why greedy bastards want to pork up the Bill, but it shouldn't be passed as it is.
