Excuse me but which one Of Obamas direct reports ordered up any scandel?

Not surprised you defending your POS obama.

Gotta love the hypocrisy with liberals and the MSM. They say nothing about much bigger scandals and downplay them but this is a big deal.

honestly, it's a picture. there were probably hundreds of people there.

unless someone recalls seeing the two have a conversation or something, I'd give him a pass on simply being at the same public event together. the 9/11 memorial is obviously an event where you'd expect both the Governor and Port Authority officials to be at.

Another picture, looks like a conversation to me. But I guess Christie's absolute denials meant nothing. That's Wildstein in the striped tie. BTW - Why was the fireable offense by his DCOS lying to him not what she did to Ft. Lee? Christie said that twice which means if she was honest with him she would still have her job.
Mr. Christie and Mr. Wildstein, in striped tie, in June, with Port Authority officials Bill Baroni and David Samson, in a photo obtained by The Journal, at a ceremonial announcement of the raising of the Bayonne Bridge roadway in New Jersey. Mr. Baroni stands to the left of Mr. Christie, and Mr. Samson is to the right of Mr. Wildstein.

Interesting update. http://wgntv.com/2014/01/16/blagojevich-lead-prosecutor-hired-in-christie-investigation/ The guy who put away Blagojevich has been hired by lawmakers in New Jersey
National and World News Blagojevich lead prosecutor hired in Christie investigation See bio, contact info, and more articles from WGN Web Desk 2 hours ago by WGN Web Desk 2 Comments Share Update ChrisChristie1 The lead prosecutor in both federal trials of former Governor Rod Blagojevich will be investigating another Governor. Reid Schar has been hired as special counsel by New Jersey lawmakers investigating the political scandal surrounding Governor Chris Christie’s administration. The lawmakers are investigating a four-day traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge allegedly intended to punish the Mayor of Fort Lee who did not endorse Christie. Christie says he was blindsided by the revelations. Schar is now a partner in the Chicago law firm Jenner and Block.
It'll be interesting to see what (if anything) turns up with this guy sniffing around. ...

Yea, I saw him say he was an equal opportunity prosecutor. He has been very successful at prosecuting politicians. If Gov. Christie did do this or knew about it, or tried to cover it up then he should be worried right now.

Governor Christie has retained the services of a law firm

http://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/201...gibson-dunn-crutcher-in-bridge-investigation/

The Christie administration and the governor’s former deputy chief of staff, Bridget Anne Kelly, have each retained prominent legal counsel in the wake of the controversy surrounding the lane closures leading up to the George Washington Bridge.
makes one go hmmmmm. but hiring a lawyer doesn't mean guilt of course.

Supposedly it's for an internal review of what was going on during the bridge shutdown by a 3rd party, in order to...
“review best practices for office operations and information flow, and assist with document retention and production,”

However, the following could be rather damning if true

Also Thursday, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Democrat of West Virginia, said a letter he received from the Port Authorty in response to his inquiries confirmed there is “zero evidence that the purpose of these closures was to conduct a legitimate traffic study.”
bolded emphasis mine.

Too bad he couldn't hire Johnny Cochrane "He was at the fridge not the Bridge" :p

How am I reaching? I quoted the reasons stated for getting the law firm. For internal review.

I didn't affirm that the letter that the Democratic Senator says he has is documented and true.

However, if he transit authority did say yes there was a study I would agree that they're reaching hiring the investigator who prosecuted Blagojevich.

The bridge was closed and there have been indications that there was no study.

That leaves two immediate possibilities that come to mind.

A) It was an incredible fuck up

B) or it was done intentionally

if it was b) then who knew about it?

if it was a) how did those people convince Governor Christie they were competent?

Sounds like you have more invested in defending the Governor than I do in following the interesting developments from the way you opened up your response.

Although the fat joke may have been un-pc :(

I see nothing wrong with retaining a lawyer, most smart people do when there's a witch hunt in progress against them.

If the transit authority said yeah we did a study and it was a fuck up sorry.

I'd agree that it's pretty much a witch hunt. However, there are indications that no study was underway.

Given that there apparently was no study

A) It was an incredible fuck up by someone

B) or it was done intentionally

LOL!

I cannot imagine any valid reason in 2013 to close three lanes of traffic for a traffic study. Passive cameras can easily give you information on how much traffic is using the lanes and how many are using specific ramps (and therefore serving this community and those linearly beyond it.) Perhaps to see to what extent traffic can/will re-route should those lanes be repurposed, but surely that's mosquito hunting with a sledgehammer. And if that is a practical test, the proper way would be signs and PSAs announcing the closure. Otherwise people are stuck in traffic because they didn't realize the lanes would be closed, not because they have no practical alternatives.

And even if there was some half-assed traffic study, the emails already published make clear that a traffic study was only an excuse to close the lanes.

I bet a whole lot of folks from Christie's corner are investing in fireproof pants, bullet proof ass gaskets and memorizing the lines of how to plead the fifth.

Then there's all of those folks who've been getting "favorable treatment" from the Chrisite admin. who are already camping out in the hills or on their way whilst making deals with the opportunists who are now positioning themselves to throw Christie under the bus and hop in the driver's seat.

It's too bad that a guy like Christie with his "in yer face" personality naturally collects a shit ton load of influential enemies who are now gleefully pulling levers and strings to deliver a highly leveraged and tasty smorgasbord of revenge on Christie and his cohorts.

Brings to mind those lyrics "they smile in your face...."

It really depends on what kind of information he can offer. If there's something that genuinely implicates Christie or another high ranking official then that seems like a no-brainer.
I just want to get to the truth of the matter as soon as possible and this seems like a good way to do it. Seems as if you would only value his testimony if he implicates Christie. That's complete bullshit in my opinion. This should be about getting to the truth of the matter and letting the chips fall where they may. The deal should strip his immunity if he's later found to be lying.

They make those boxes with the hose attached to count cars. Seems like that would be the cheapest and most efficient way to do a traffic study. That's what they are for.
