3300 on both cards. In furmark, I never hit the top speed due to power limitations. It stays in the 1100s right at the 132% power cap (The asus card sits at 1254Mhz though).

windowed, 1920x1200, no AA (that lowers temps in furmark), click burn in test and let it run for 10 minutes. If you have an older version, it might pair the incorrect temp with the incorrect card, so look out for that.

edit:It gets the temps right for slot 1 and 2, but all the other metrics like speed, etc, it flips for some reason. So speed, TDP, for slot one is listed under slot 2. I just use the precision display on my keyboard LCD to track it.

Sorry if this was clarified earlier, but just to make sure, you had a reference 680 that you bought the cooler for in addition to a Asus DC2 680 in SLI?

If so: How are noise levels on your DC2 card vs your new setup? SPCR gave the 680 DC2 a pretty favorable review and I wanted to know how this cooler compares in noise (it seems like it has very good cooling prowess). Can you hear the pump running at all?

I love the DC2, but it's a 3 slot card, and I didn't have room for two. In gaming, benchmarking, anything else, I can't hear it over my case fans and H100. In furmark, I can hear it somewhat.

It also lets you set the power limit higher, and is an 8+6 card instead of a 6+6 card. I'd have 2 of them if I had the space.

After 11-13mins of Furmark max temps 56c room temp 77degrees

I to had the same issues as you with it not clocking all the way up.. at 720p it does however.

Except he pulled his second card to lower temps....

No he did not his other card was shipped to Galaxy for RMA

And it would have made 1-2 c diff cause it is a non ref card.. Also when i get it back and put the Antec 620 mod on it.. it would mke no diff.. that is the only reason i have not done the Antec 620 mod to it already.. waiting on the back plate and to rma the card cause only 2 of 3 fans worked on it.. so i can resale a fully working card when the time comes.

Your first point is wrong, the top card gets more than 1-2c or temp increase from having another 225+W sitting right below it.

Your second point is somewhat true though. That will minimize the effect.

Well unlike most MBs the G1 Sniper 3 in Sli the cards are 4 slots apart..
and the antec 620 mod only takes up 2 slots.. better cooling..

And it is really not yours and Is debate here on how much better one is then another.. Air flow case size tim are all factors when 2 items are with in 5 c of eachother.

My Argument is the price for performance margin. Mine cost about 70$ 85$ if you want Vrm Heatsinks. yours 179$ Yours Looks alot better but does not seem to preform as good mine is kinda ugly but seems to perform a little better.

My debate is not a hate post it is to pass along results and information for others to take the pick of which road they want to go down.

See, the issue is, you still really haven't tested like for like, and I opened the thread with a "I know this is overpriced". My time is worth more to me than spending the time adapting something else.

If you really think you've tested like for like. Here is what happens when I don't even pull the lower card, but just disable SLI for furmark. Temp look familiar? All those sealed coolers are the same exact thing. The only room for variance is the fan used for the most part.

You've been half antagonistic since you started posting in this thread, along with refusing to report like for like numbers. I get it, you like what you've done taking a cpu cooler and sticking it on your video card, but no one gets any benefit when you claim your peak temps of your card of 54C when trying to compare to SLI'ed furmark when those weren't SLI'ed furmark temps.

I finally copied the one furmark test you did (Ok, I was too lazy to pull the card, but experience has taught me that just letting it idle won't affect the temps much), and the temps are the exactly same (within a degree or two). That's exactly what we should all expect because the cooler for the GPU part is the same, and both cards are bumping up against the power cap, and power used is exactly what decides the heat generated.

I never claimed I made an economical choice, but I do take issue when people try to use totally unrelated temperature readings as if they have meaning.

Even if his temps were 10-15C higher with the second card installed, that's still damn good considering the cost difference, and I doubt it would be 15C higher either.

Nah my temps would still be lower.

What the heck is this? An e-peen contest for the best temps? I'm not sure why you people are arguing?

COMPARING PC'S IN A DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENT WITH DIFFERENT PARTS (case) AND DIFFERENT AMBIENT TEMPS IS 100% MEANINGLESS

I'm arguing because he thinks that he's comparing like for like. He's not ;) When I emulated as close to like as possible, temps were within 1C as is expected.
