I'll take a reference cooler over aftermarket solutions 99% of the time. Reference coolers are usually very good and you know what to expect because they've been reviewed by 30 different tech sites. Aftermarket solutions can end up being louder and sometimes worse on temps. I'm not basing my decision to buy some non ref card on one review especially if you don't know if the one site reviewing it wasn't paid off to give it a favorable review.
This thread is the perfect example of why not to buy non reference. He couldn't find one review of the 570HD and it ends up being louder and probably worse temps than the reference.
