I find with global warming in the past decade or even a bit longer our winters have been less cold and tend to start later. It's still in the positives here, sometimes even double digits. It's like 14C right now, don't even need a coat. Our summer was kind of crap, our best days have been in September-October. I got lucky when I went camping in July though, it was in the 20's most of the time. Hot enough to go swimming.

Back when I was a kid we'd most likely would have had at least a small snow fall by now. And mornings all the roofs would be white from the frost. Don't see mornings like that much anymore, but it still happens. By Halloween we'd have a decent amount of snow on the ground too and had to incorporate our costume on our parka. In past couple years it's like mid December before we have our first snow. Last winter was messy as hell, we'd get snow, then it would melt and rinse and repeat, we never had a proper permanent snow pack. The roads were horrid too because of it. Normally you get a nice solid snow pack and it fills in all the pot holes, but not last year. It was pretty much wash board with jagged ice and stuff.

You gotta take up snowboarding or skiing. Why live in Colorado if you can't enjoy the snow (besides work/family of course)?

I had a friend that was trying to get me into it, but I declined. I can't even skate board let alone try and ski or snowboard. I already have a back issue, don't need anymore problems.

It was around 90F today in town but I was up on a mountain where it was 60F, dry, and sunny. The aspens are in full autumnal glory.

90F is like 32C. FTS! Way too hot. Though I don't mind it too much when it hits that now that I have central A/C. We got a couple days like that this year and it was nice to walk into a cold house.

Climbing, hiking, kayaking, fly fishing, bicycling.

...and living in your Mom's basement, fapping and playing video games.

You couldn't give me enough money to live in that state.
Yeah, coming back was a difficult decision. The Ozarks are pretty though. By the way, I took a nap this afternoon and this thread gave me a really awesome dream about being in the mountains, so thank you. :p

By the way, you're not alone. With one exception who found the love of this life, every other transplant here seems to hate it. I think I like it best since I give it a 4/10.

Spent a bit over 2 years in St. Louis and enjoyed my time there. Spent a lot of time between Clayton and the Central West End. Love be the “old” architecture of the city and Forest Park was great. Still have family in the Central West End. I did hate the weather though. Humid all year round...frigid in the winter...hot as balls in the summer. Wouldn’t move there on purpose, but wouldn’t be terribly upset if I HAD to move there.

We seem to want what we don't or can't have. It's too warm ... I want it cold. It's too cold ... I want it warm.

OP, you could try SoCal but there are a LOT of left wingers there ...

Forest Park, the zoo, and Six Flags are all nice, but the area lacks character outside of being "old". It's just too bland and slow for my tastes. No one is in a hurry to do anything and when it gets done it's usually not done that well. It's like everyone here has just given up and bitterly retired. I'd think I was being too harsh, but I keep hearing the same criticisms from other non-natives.

First snowfall of the year here in shity Colorado. Thanks "global warming/climate change." But, with our shity unpredictable weather it will be 70 on Thursday. Colorado may be nice to vist, but I can't stand living here. I want to move to Texas where I belong. I love the warmth and there isn't too many Leftist idiots.
Texas is overrun with illegal immigrants and Mexican Mafia rejects.

I have a home in the warm valley for the winters and one in the cool mountains for the summers, it's a great way to go.

Used to live in Riverside. It be a cold day in hell before I move back there. My family and i packed up in '93 and came out here. The school system was a night and day change, let me tell you. Plus, I don't miss seeing the police helicopter light in the backyard or in the neighborhood. California was a shit hole then, and it's gotten even worse.

Don’t get me wrong...I’d never leave CO and purposefully move to St. Louis, but there are some nice things about it. There are also TERRIBLE parts (north St. Louis, East St. Louis). I totally agree that the city does feel old/complacent. I recently read an article that St. Louis should be picked by Amazon for HQ2 as a sort of corporate charity move. That is not the endorsement I would want to be getting. Oh, and the food is pretty bland. Has probably gotten better in the last few years...but bland for sure.

On topic, I was running in shorts and a T-shirt today in CO after getting 5 inches in Denver. I like be the variability of CO weather...never gets boring.
