Got rear-ended today.

I am in the exact same situation as you. Some lady was not paying attention and rear-ended my car. Unfortunately the Hemi-Durango she was driving totaled my poor little corolla. Allstate has been cool about the whole thing, but it has been a little slow. 2 weeks passed before they actually "totalled" my car and I am waiting on them to pay off the lien. They are paying for my rental car so it is their money, but I am ready to get the hassle over with.

I was PISSED when the accident actually happened, but it's not that big a deal in retrospect. At least I didn't have my daughter in the car at the time. I would have been ballistic if that were the case since cell-phone-impaired drivers is already a big pet peeve of mine.
