What a waste of his time and mine. No ticket was written nor even a verbal warning. Just a have a good day after return my documents. WTF.

EDIT: For the record I do signal about 90% of the time. The rare times that I don't are: changing lanes when there's no one around me or when not signaling will not cause any confusion to other drivers such as in this situation (first car at a red light. Light turns green and I make the right. No pedestrians, no slowing down, no harm done).

He had a valid reason to pull you over, and he used the opportunity to see if anything else turned up.

A cop once u-turned behind me to pull me over for that. I was watching my rear view mirror to see him put his light on and totally missed a red light. Needless to say he pulled me over and ticketed me for the light but not the blinker.

Damn him, it was his fault I swear.

good.

because moving a finger less than an inch to alert other drivers of your impending actions is hard work.

I fvcking hate people who don't use their blinkers. They're there for a purpose...to identify your intentions to the other drivers around you. Not using them is pure laziness from my POV. Probably worst part is when you're trying to get onto a main road (usually to the opposite side, heading left) and you wait for somebody and they make a turn but by the time they start there's traffic blocking you from the other side.

Turn signals are practically worthless anymore. A great device, but they only help when you can almost guarantee that someone will use it. Do you always assume that they will also use it properly? I know my mom remarked about being in an accident once because a guy had his signal on to turn and then just went straight instead. I still use my signal, but if others aren't using it, I'm most certainly not going to attempt to guess their intent.

I sometimes think that if people had to manually turn on brake lights, we would all be screwed.

You just sound like another tard who can't drive. They're a warning device, just because someone has their signal on doesn't mean I'll slow down and let their ass into my lane either. I also will leave enough space to stop if they don't turn into a parking lot so I don't blow into them (ie your horrible driver of a mom)

On another note, I hate turn signals that are red/flash the brake light on that side. Keep them amber god damnit.

EDIT: Added comment about mom

What is worse than not using the signal is using it, but only for 1/2 a blink. It takes a real effort to only hold the stalk down long enough to barely illuminate the bulb, then release.

I take it you don't read the police reports in your local paper do you? Some of the entries I read say that the person ticketed/arrested happened because the cop initially stopped the person for a traffic/road infraction and then found other violations.
