Got my Z! My wife talked smack to me...

I'm thinking I wouldn't be real interested in buying something from them either then.

No kidding.

The Z has a really easy break-in period too (N/A) compared to other cars like the STi or Evo that new owners like to baby with revs on.

When I got my Z, I test drove a couple (sport and non-sport) and then told them I would only buy if I got a test-drive in their GT-R. They agreed, but wanted to come along. That was a blast!

I did buy my Z in 05/09 when dealers where pretty much begging you to get a car, following the collapse of the world economy...

Yeah. Too heavy. The old 4.6L Mustang GT would keep right up with it in a straight line, and then leave it for dead in the twisties.

They've not shaved any weight off, but made massive handling improvements for '11. '12 should be even better, as I understand it, they are even stiffer when in sport mode (they have the magnetofluid suspension that when an electromagnet it turned on, they stiffen up).

Car and Driver claims the following "Even with the same Goodyear F1 Supercar tires, the Challenger now slices into corners as if it has lost a thousand pounds."

I think that's probably a stretch, but if you drove one of the older ones, it's worth it to take a look at the last two models.

We were speaking of R/T's, not SRT8's. 😀

Honestly I like your wife's more because it sounds more bad ass and looks more bad ass. The Z is definitely nice, though!

Probably the Z, but I do love me a good Challenger too.
If that Challenger was a Hemi orange SRT8 6 speed, I would say Challenger...

Plus, I'd be careful if I were you. That Datsun Z looks pregnant. You're liable to wake up one morning and find a litter of mewling 210's in your driveway. 😛

ill take a couple of those 210s! i had a 1980 210 in high school, loved it. had no idea how low powered they were, it was a great fun car to drive. im going to look at a 1978 510 wagon after work today, supposedly it runs and everything lol.

as for OP, for performance id take the Z. for looks and cruisin, id take the challenger. for daily driving id also opt for the r/t, comfort and space.
