The local dealership wasn't interested in me taking one for a drive.
I'm thinking I wouldn't be real interested in buying something from them either then.

I bet that would be a close fight. Both cars are mid 13 sec in the 1/4 mile if I remember right.

Yup, until you have to turn a corner....![]()
The pre '11 challengers were very poor handlers in comparison, indeed.
Yeah. Too heavy. The old 4.6L Mustang GT would keep right up with it in a straight line, and then leave it for dead in the twisties.
The Z.
They've not shaved any weight off, but made massive handling improvements for '11. '12 should be even better, as I understand it, they are even stiffer when in sport mode (they have the magnetofluid suspension that when an electromagnet it turned on, they stiffen up).
Car and Driver claims the following "Even with the same Goodyear F1 Supercar tires, the Challenger now slices into corners as if it has lost a thousand pounds."

I think that's probably a stretch, but if you drove one of the older ones, it's worth it to take a look at the last two models.
I'd love to experience that syncromesh tranny. Nobody really raves about it, either its under appreciated or it sucks.
Take your wife to the drag strip, follow by an autocross.

In other words, pic of car-loving wife?![]()
Plus, I'd be careful if I were you. That Datsun Z looks pregnant. You're liable to wake up one morning and find a litter of mewling 210's in your driveway.
