Thanks to the help of everyone in another thread, I did get my Z this weekend. After looking for about 6 months I finally have what I consider to be my perfect car!

When I got home with it my wife asks me "How much horsepower does it have?" I was a bit surprised by this question, but I know she's at least a little bit interested in cars since she got her new one. I replied "About 332". She follows up in a shit talking manner with " Ha! Mine has 374!"

I just laughed!

They're about as different as they could possibly be, but the 370z is far superior in any performance metric. The Dodge is comfy and makes a nice noise though.

I agree! They are definitely the antithesis of each other. In a good way though. My wife doesn't like the way the Z rides. Its far to rough/awesome for her. She likes the comfortable ride of the challenger.
 
Tell her that those fenders make her look fat.

Neither car is anywhere close to practical (or realistic for me) at this point, but if given the choice the looks, handling and higher strung nature of the Z are far more my style.

I'd love to experience that syncromesh tranny. Nobody really raves about it, either its under appreciated or it sucks.
 
Re: that Fiat. Yellow with black stripes? Is there a Super Bee graphic somewhere on its bulbous sides? Did you get her the tech package, with the tape deck that auto reverses and the intermittent wipers? This is key!

Nice looking car. I've always wanted to test drive one, but never got around to doing it. The local dealership wasn't interested in me taking one for a drive.

I didn't like it, so I opted-out of the sport package. I didn't like the system matching the revs (I do that) and it would be a pain to disable it all the time. Some folks like it though, and it appears to have been pretty reliable so far.

OP - congrats on the car!
 
Challenger for me, though would prefer a different color.

You two should take your cars to the local drag strip and duke it out.

I bet that would be a close fight. Both cars are mid 13 sec in the 1/4 mile if I remember right.
