Got my x1900XTX

Nice numbers, but you know you can hit the Print Screen button at the top right of your keyboard and paste it into anyting, such as MS Paint, to avoid the watermarks, right? 😉

Try F13 or F14 in the Apple keyboard.

Will do, I am on my laptop at the moment.. I don't think it works though, I may have tried it before!

Any way to get overdrive to allow higher options than 690/800 ?

Where were you able to trade in your x1800xt for a XTX for such a small net cost? I wants! 😛

Nobody pays FULL retail..

😀

Ati has plenty of margin @ $649.

I flashed my xt with the xtx bios, and I only get ~11000. Where did you get those 500 extra points?

Different settings in the control panel? Mine was made with the default settings. Things like HQAF, Adaptive Antialiasing, and Catalyst A.I. do alter performance

You wouldn't see a benefit on 2k5.

Good stuff, bjc. 🙂

I suppose so 🙁 Gaining 1000 points from 200mhz just didn't seem right, but I guess it's possible

i'll bet his cpu or mem or both is faster than yours is why

Yes he would. With my 3000+@2.6 GHz I couldn't break 10,500 no matter how high I clocked up my XTX. Soon as I went dual core my score shot up to 12,600. This video card loves a fast CPU: Text even in games that aren't dual core optimized (e.g. X3) thanks to driver optimizations for dual core.

actually you are correct aggressor and ronin is speaking from his rear end

dual core not only will more likely get you a higher oc than 2.5ghz...you'll also benefit from dual core enhanced drivers.

for example... a dual core at 3ghz will get better 3d performance versus a single core at 3ghz...

the single core will need to be clocked at 3100-3200ish to match the dual core's 3ghz

edit: beat me to it jokar

my score went up about 800 points when I ran my Opteron at 2.4 for an apples to apples comparo to my 2.4 Winchester in 2K5
