I want the Cat 5.11's to come out, along with H.264 decoder just to see the difference in CPU load!

They're already out: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=31&threadid=1732582

Too bad you still can't break 10k in 3dmark05 with the X1800XT. It would be much easier with the 7800GTX 512MB 😛

Actually racabor did, with stock cooling and voltage

I doubt it, where's the official 3dmark05 comparison linky showing so?

he posted a screenshot in his thread showing it...

but given the way you've approached this so far you'd be convinced he photochopped it i suppose

Way to crap on someone's purchase, Rollo. WHy don't you just stay the frick out of this thread? It's about the X1800XT. It's not about Nvidia cards.

Meh, I don't think so. Jasonja practically invited any and all conflict into this thread by ingeniously posting this:

Quote from Jasonja: "What's this? Real people have the X1800XT? Real people are overclocking them and getting good results? Where are all the nVidiots that claimed this card would never come out and that only cherry picked review samples would be able to overclock?"

So, you can thank him for any thread crapping you all receive.
BTW!! Congrats on your XT OP. Very nice!!! U2 rcabor!! 😉

Keys talking about X1800XT OCing results being very good has nothing to do with the 512MB GTX, so M0RPH's point still stands Rollo (although he didn't start it) was at the very least OT and probably thread crapping. Jasonja's point was said nothing about the 512MB GTX and so I don't see how that invites people to bring up the 512MB GTX on this thread.

ATI fans are proud of the XT aren't they? They luv the R20. I don't have a single problem with this. When Nvidia fans are called out, like Jasonja and Crazydingo blatanly did no matter how you spin it, NV fans will comeback with what they are proud of won't they. That being the 7800 series of cards including the new monster about to surface. I appreciate you trying to find all loopholes and crap, but dude, this is not a courtroom and you are not a self appointed judge whacking down a gavel stating what can and cannot be talked about in any given thread. If you want segregation, go talk to AT management. Maybe they will grant separate ATI/Nvidia into subforums. Good Luck with that.

Keys I don't want seperate ATi and nVidia forums I like the "spirited" conversation that goes on, all I'm saying is that this is a thread that was about a guy getting an X1800XT and another guys overclocking results, no where in there is there anything about the 512MB GTX so why does it need to be brought up?

"They" are blind fools more than Nvidia fans. When I asked when was the last time we heard conflicting oc reports (between cards sent by Nvidia/ATI and available in retail), they had no answer. Cat caught their tongue?

I didnt call out "Nvidia fans" but the people who flamed me. Like I said they were blindly defending when they didnt have to. I've seen many Nvidia fans here who dont exhibit such blind following.

Back on topic ...

Overclocked 7800GTX in SLI are officially recognized in the Hall of Fame: http://www.futuremark.com/community/halloffame/

Too bad those X1800XT overclock results are unofficial and unrecognized, what a waste 😛

You don't have to copy and paste your posts on 2 different threads, you can just say it once and we understand that you just don't want to see that the XT can break 10K in 3DMark05 (not that it really matters, if you buy a $500+ piece of hardware to watch 3dMark run).

Still no official 3dmark05 comparison linky? You look dumb without any conclusive evidence to counter my facts.

Maybe it's not "official" to you, but that does not make it invalid or false, a screenshot is more or less believable unless you have good reason to believe he photochopped it. I'm guessing you're gonna say this is not official either - we'll gimme 20 minutes and I'll make it official.

This thread is about the X1800XT, nevertheless thanks for taking the time for showing off your puny X800 😛

What's the difference dude?

He posted the screen shot, multiple screen shots, no big deal..

I am pretty certain the 7800 GTX 512 will outdo the 1800xt, it might even break 10k in 3dmark..

Are you going to bitch and moan until you see an official link?

All i need are screenshots from forum members..

When the results are officially recognized by Futuremark (makers of 3Dmark), the possibility of cheats and optimizations are greatly reduced because Futuremark has checks in place. You wouldn't want a skewed result?

That is really funny. I'm aware of more tweaks and cheats available for Nvidia cards than for the ATI camp.

I get your point that official results are the best but do you have any reason to doubt racabor? I don't even know who Uberman is over at NvNews, but I believe the scores he's posting for his 512MB 7800GTX. Besides that, it doesn't look like you can post official scores for the X1800 series cards yet so give the guy a break.

And what are you gonna show off to a x1800xt? Your puny gtx? LOL.

Anyway, now it's official

Well, my card just does not overclock well.. At least the memory doesnt..

I had the core up to 690 and 3dmark made two successful passes.. Memory cant even make it @ 775!!

I bumped the volts to 1.8v->1.9v no luck!

Highest score I have attained so far is 9300. That is with no memory overclock and my ram @ 2T for now

Why are you guys even arguing with someone whos only words in his sig say "Rollo for Mod"? It wouldnt surprise me that malg is actually Rollo.

I think thats enough MalG, don't you? No personal attacks.

WTF does a lowly GTO scoring 6800 on 3DMark have to do with this thread?

Let's see some X1800XT results ... besides the obligatory ones from the OP.

To illustrate my point that a score screenshot can be just as valid as a score link, for all that damand some "official" score, like an orb link has any more credibility than a screenshot

The overdrive utility is WORTHLESS..

I can run 3dmark stable at about 690 core, but can't bump the memory at all..

I run the overdrive util, runs for about 10min and recommends 797 on memory ( know this isn't going to work, because I raised the voltage with a OC tool already)

Load 3dmark, artifacts instantly..

WTF is the point of overdrive if its not even close!
