I can't see how to characterize my feelings about this. I had expectations. Some were met, some weren't.
My PC doctor, addressing my A1C of 7.3, commented "Diabetes better". I don't feel encouraged with that.
Cholesterol and Triglycerides are all just peachy wonderful, and I can't tell if it derives from the new Lipitor prescription.
I was hoping for better kidney markers. The eGFR result was as I wanted it to be -- back to normal at 90. But I was hoping for the UACR result to decrease from last time, when it was 85. It's now 109.
Must I give up Carne Asada Tacos? Red meat -- burgers and pot-roast? I will if I have to. I should investigate your soy-bean-based veggie burgers. I also find that I'm not helping my A1C with the morning 8oz of beet-juice and lemon, and apparently orange juice without added sugar is discouraged unless diluted.
I better go for my walk before it gets too hot outdoors. Like I always say -- Old Age Sucks. At least I don't need a walker, and I'm starting my Tai-Chi while watching David Carradine's "Tai-Chi Workout". And -- at least my BP yesterday was 122 / 78. But just put Orange Face on the TEE-VEE and it goes up to 160 / 90 . . . .
And sorry I'm so self-absorbed, but I'm mildly alarmed at my conditions and results.
UPDATE: The Doc's reply message in the medical clinic's communications link says "creatinine no big deal." He's saying my UACR -- albumin to creatinine ratio -- was nothing to get upset or get my panties in a bunch. I'm still going to cut back on animal protein intake.
