I walked a 5k three weeks ago and have been walking/running on the treadmill and outside (weather permitting) every other day since then. I can't wait to regain my girlish figure!

It's hard but just keep at it. It just gets better and better.

I just finished like 4 miles a few minutes ago and I feel great! :D *

*okay I don't feel great but I feel better than when I started running :D

Update: I walked and ran 3.5 miles Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Walked most, but ran some too. My best time was 54 minutes and my longest time was 1hr 5 minutes :)

It does feel good afterwards. So, this week I'm going to go every other day and try to get below 50 minutes.

See if there are any 5K events going on around you. It's usually for a charitable cause, it gives you a goal to train for, and it's just damn fun running with a gigantic crowd of people.

It's great to hear that someone else is getting back into a regular workout.
I need to get back into walking/biking as I walked into my Dr's office on the 5th and tipped the scales at 297lb. So now I'm going to buy a new bicycle to work out on.
