I just graduated college and got a job, but have nothing to buy. My laptop is the only computer I need. I don't like cars, don't watch TV, don't like cell phones, don't like dating or going out. I go kayaking and running a lot, but my shoes and kayak are holding out.

It seems ridiculous that all the money besides food and housing will be going towards retirement.

got job. wtf do I use the money for?
So you spend all your free time kayaking and running? 😕

i say

buy random gadgets.

Have my own apartment. Several people said to get a house, but an apartment you can get really close to where you work. This means no wasted time commuting each day. Also, whenever something breaks you just tell the landlord and they have it fixed. Tough to see a house as an improvement...

>Do you not like cars or do you just not have a need for one?

Well I'm a city dweller. Walking/subway/bus/train is fine for almost anything. Parking and maintaining a car just for weekend jaunts, which I used to do, seems like too much effort. A lot of friends are saving up for hot cars, though. If I had something to shoot for like that, I think I could work harder. ;/

Maybe I should put the girlfriend, scuba, stock market, mail order bride, traveling, crack, golf, random gadgets, etc. ideas in a hat and randomly pick... It's sad to just toss out my "own little, play little" efficiency just because I reached all my goals, though. Thanks for all the responses.

Put a down payment for a nice casket. At this rate you'll be the old man in the news that nobody knew about but found a million dollars stashed under a pile of old porn mags in his dingy apartment.

invest it to make more money?

go do things you have never done before, like sky diving, or bungee jumping. learn to shoot a gun, bow/arrows, hunt deers. plenty of things in life to do.

refreshing to see someone not so bogged down by materialism, which is not to say i am not driven by material needs.
