Locally a man was decapitated not to long ago when a 20x30", 1/4" thick peice of sheet metal fell off a truck and went through his window, and they never actually found the truck.

That camera makes some good pics. I can see how well you have things organized in your garage. (through the broken windshield...LOL)

Glad you weren't hurt,
Jeff

Had the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago on the e-way. I saw the thing fly up in the air about thirty yards in front and two lanes over. I was following its decent when it occurred to me that our paths might cross. It was kind of surreal when it came down on my windshield with me ducking down, almost laying down on the passenger seat.

you have a car,and you do not have Full glass coverage?

it costs me like an extra $11 a year per vehicle.

check with Diamond/Triumph auto glass they are reasonable.

I bought a new winshield early this year, and it was like $200 installed, for my 40 year old car.

I paid for it myself, the windshield was just scratched bad.

If you pay $11 a year "per vehicle" then I can only assume you have 2 cars. Thus you pay $22 a year for glass coverage, which means you must stastically think you'll need more than 1 windshield every 9 years to break even?? (assuming your windshield only costs $200)

Sounds like you might want to think about that $11 a year...

PS: In Florida, I _think_ the state mandates that all insurance companies give you windshield coverage with a $0 deductable... but making claims against it can in theory cost you in the long run.

well the windshield installed in my Chevy Van is about $325,
and for my pickup almost that,

hmm i just looked at my policy for my pickup, full glass is automatically included in my comprehensive,
No extra cost.
It helps to use a big company.
