After 7 months of no job got called back to my old employer. Got my full time with all benifits etc back. Only thing is I have to move to Mobile AL. Oh well just glad to be working again!

Congrats. Money is money. It's good it's Mobile, should be cheap living. You can save up for the next recession.

Hell yes it is. New Orleans is awesome. He's moving to Mobile, so why wouldn't being close to NO be a good thing??

Yes, it is. Don't base your view of New Orleans by television images of Hurricane Katrina aftermath. It's a great place to visit.

Actually Mobile is one of the better spots in Alabama.

They actually had Mardi Gras first and the bars have shrimp boils all the time :thumbsup:

I live near Gulf Shores (halfway between GS and Mobile) but commute to Mobile everyday. Give us a better location and we'll find an apartment for you

Sigh, I'm in Montgomery because of my job. Mobiles probably a bit better, but I imagine it'll be like Biloxi in that the weather reminds you of what it must be like to live in a cesspool in the middle of an iron smelting plant.
