Then again, I have to turn the AC up a lot since it is topping 100 degrees here. That must contribute to that low mileage.

IIRC, aren't you in HS, or just graduated? You have a G35?

He also lives in San Marino, which should be another clue with the high priced houses.

Don't forget that Amol is the one with neighbors that can afford a Maybach.

I don't think it is...when I control myself I can get ~37mpg or more in my 99 civic ex. I usually shift between 3k-4k rpm's though so these days i'm only getting 32mpg..

My '93 Civic DX with 215K miles on it is still averaging 37 MPG. Highest I ever got with it was 41 MPG back in the day :)

Nah, I'm only getting 16.5 around town and then 24-26 on the highway. Our cars just don't like city driving. :(

Ahhh gotcha. I havn't done much highway driving as the driving I've done has been to go to school, work, volunteering places, and friends' places. Only freeway driving I did was to drop off my mother at the airport, and on that trip, I got 25.9 mpg.

no, a/c would not impact epa ratings. The temp may a bit though....but a heavy foot and/or late shifting is the culprit probably.

what are you stupid? of course it would. Do you think he pulls that energy out of his as$?

My best cruising usually 100mph+ on trips as been 23-24ish.

There must be something wrong with your car, unless of course you have done an engine swap.

In our 95 240SX (identical to yours -- if yours is stock), we used to get about ~25-30mpg. I was quite impressed with its frugality actually.
