Is it involving to drive?

I prefer the TL because of bigger backseat.

You've got a great car, enjoy it.

Thanks!

Involving...hard to say at this point, simply because I'm still trying to break it in (<75 mph, <3500 rpm). When I drove this car at the Taste of Lexus event, it was pretty awesome, although I still give the edge to the 3-series when it comes to pure driving involvement. Yes, the backseat sucks, but I don't have any kids (yet), and I generally don't have 4 passengers in the car.

Nice, I would love to have this car as I'm sure anyone else will too. However, if I'm spending that much on a car, I want something that is more involving to drive. Something that makes you feel totally connected to the car and gives you an idea of your enviroments. But maybe thats just me. If it came to this car and the BMW 3, I wouldn't know what to do. Luckily, there is the TL. Again, you have a great car.

Thanks. I went through the same dilemma that you're describing. I ended up choosing the IS for a couple of reasons:

1) Lexus reliability > BMW reliability
2) Lexus build quality > BMW build quality
3) The Lexus is cheaper than a 330i, similarly spec'd out (by several thousand dollars)

It was an easier decision after having owned an Audi A4 and experienced several wallet-busting maintenance jobs (timing belt = $1400, upper control arms = $1000). The TL is also a great car--my only gripe about it is that it's FWD, but other than that, it's an excellent car at a bargain price in this sector.

Also, the Lexus interior is much better than BMW interior. I personally don't like the new BMW interiors. Acura/Lexus interiors are excellent. Some of the best in fact.

I've been seeing a few Acura RLs on the road lately. They look much better in person than they do in pictures. They have this great look to them.

On top of the increased number of speakers and the better surround field, it changes the in-dash 6-CD changer to a 6-DVD changer, and adds DVD-A and DVD-V support. Oddly enough, I haven't tried either of those yet...

Can you play MP3's on DVD or music burned on DVD? That would be great.

It'll play MP3s, but only burned to a CD. There are several guys on the Lexus forums working on this, though, so I figure it's only a matter of time before MP3-DVDs will work.

It's kind of a moot point, though, since the car has an AUX-in jack, so I just plug in my iPod and go...

Nice! I had an Audi A6 for about eight months until February when I realized it was too expensive. I grabbed a Camry to save some cash for a couple of years and then I am probably going to get a Lexus if I buy. If I lease, probably an Audi. It really depends on whats out at the time. I really do like the Lexus GS.

NICE CAR. I'm thinking about replacing my Audi A6 with a lexus IS or TL. I agree with everyone else on the repair cost. How's the fuel economy for the IS?

Nice ride, would've gone for an Audi A4 myself

white is the best color too... that is officially one of the nicest cars available in today's market. I love it... good choice man.

Nice. Those cars always looks smaller when I see them on the road then in pictures.

Wait until you climb inside. Backseat space is about as usable as a G35 coupe.
