What the hell is a 'debut'?
I have no idea.
He asked if the bonus is in dollars or debuts. Since I have no idea what debuts are and I know that I'm being paid dollars, I went with dollars. It's the correct choice and certainly safer than looking like an idiot. :)

Probably new stock offerings, hence, the stocks are debuting.

Okay, I spoke to someone who used to work there.
Now he may have hard feelings for them, I don't know. But he quit, he wasn't fired.
His words:
"They have alot of money to throw around, but if I were you I wouldn't jump at dollar signs.
Look at the turnover rate there. There is a reason for that.
I would carefully think about it before I jumped right into it".

I think I'm not going to take it.
Yes, I know that's an easy way of not having to deal with added responsibility, and it is, but I'm also doubting if it's a smart career move.

well i guess if you're happy where you are now, then there's no need to move yet...

but keep in mind that this is an opportunity to move up into a higher position (i'm assuming you aren't a art director now).... if you ever want to be management, then this seems like the opportunity to do so... management isn't for everyone.. my dad who's worked in architecture for 20+ years has done project management, and doesn't like it.. he's now doing the design stuff that "regular" architects do, and probalby makes less than he could.. but it's what he likes to do.. so you may not want to manage people, but if the only reason that you're not doing it is because you're scared of it, then i think you should think really hard... it may be an opportunity that won't come around again for a while..
