I have to respond to this. You sound like we have two brand new candidates out there--two who have not been involved in Washington for the past eight years. However, Al Gore has been trying to take credit for the past eight years in Washington and around the country. Note that most of what you say has NOT been done. (By the way, we HAVE plenty of gun control laws, we need some enforcement. For example, at Columbine there were dozens of gun laws broken, and they saved no one.) We still have low teacher pay, abysmal inner city schools, no accountability for federal monies spent on education by the states, no tax relief, no plan for reforming social security or medicare. These same promises/platitudes were mouthed eight years ago, so why hasn't anything been done? And why would you trust the same people who have not followed through on promises to have another chance? Accountability anyone?
