Gore has a point.. The teacher is a big part(Problem, depending on your point of view) in public schools. Most of us here know that a good teacher means a good class.

Hmm... Bush has a point.. But teachers don't need knowledge-tests, they need teaching tests. There's no doubt that teachers have the knowledge to teach. It's the way they teach that matters.

Yeah what about vouchers? Big difference. Even low income Dems want vouchers. Talk about why they shouldn't have them Gore...

Ornery-

He thinks my family of me and my wife (60k total) as rich. What an twit!!

Ohhhh... now its MANDATORY tests... I KNOW he said voluntary earlier!! Hell, the lies never stop!!

Gore, without vouchers, you promote a social discrimination (private schools primarily where wealthy go). I thought that was against your beliefs!! Weeble wobble....

I notice the union teachers aren't going without their raises despite this lack of money in the schools. Oh yeah, they don't want vouchers either...

I still don't know or understand why Bush would be a good choice for president, and why Gore would be bad, Ornery. 😉

Now he lies about Kosovo!

I've never seen Government pay less for a service or product[drugs]...that would be a first!

If what Gore is saying is true, It would be a good thing ... Big buisness sucks..

Another good question by Lehrer, but I don't agree with the premise. I want issues taken care of first and foremost. There are experts in every field available to make decisions on crisis situations...

Wow, a congradulations by Gore <G>

I do think Clinton/Gore did good with the economo, and I have no doubt Gore will continue this.

"tie breaking vote"

Yes he did...to increase taxes on Social Security recipients and raise the gas tax 6 cents a gallon....

Just fell off my chair!

Gore admits it was the American Public that is responsible for the economy!!!!

BINGO! Bush brings up the 1992 promose of middle class tax cuts that never came!

Face it Ornery, Bush is "slow." I don't want a president that was probably in LD

Hell Gore toured the areas. He must have been firefighting. What a dumbass. He makes ever thing that Bush does seem like he caused it to happen.

GORE is wearing BLUSH! Maybe he is coming out of the closet?

Clinton didn't accept a balance budget until Republicans made it an issue. Clinton wanted to wait longer. Now Gore wants to claim his party cut spending by the goverment.

<< GORE is wearing BLUSH! Maybe he is coming out of the closet? >>

not that there is anything wrong with that 😉

OMG! The wealthy AGAIN! That's the difference in the last eight years. That's what put the economy on the right track... screwing the wealthy. Great plan!

BTW, when did getting my wife into the workforce put me into the category of "the wealthy". SOB, give me back SOME of that money! Don't worry, I'll spend it wisely...

Bush sounds awfully desperate here. He is embarassing his supporters. He had better request 1/2 debates instead of 90 minutes.
