GOP is literally trying to kill americans: GOP files to eliminate OHSA

They are literally trying to kill us.

Granted this won't go anywhere but abolish OHSA one of the most popular US agencies? How is it that people don't notice this and vote him out?
I had no idea he had one the fucking Publishers Clearing house and that is why he entered politics.

Biggs is in a totally safe fascist district. He won reelection after voting to disenfranchise every single voter in his district.

I fully expect this to come and bite us. Their "trimming the fat" bullshit is all-encompassing. No part of the federal government is safe with the exception of the military (I'm sure you can guess why).

Andy's issues with OSHA seem to be covid related and opposition to rules requiring more protections for workers when it's hot. He is concerned that productivity in the heat of Arizona will be impacted (aka climate change is bullshit and we don't need to do anything).

"It's 118F, sir."

"Get your lazy ass back up there and finish my roof!"

This will probably be popular with the poorly educated, just a bunch of hassle what keeps you from gittin' th'work done.

They yearn for the days when workers died on the job on a regular basis.
When I was working at the GD (Electric Boat) Shipyard in Groton, they always dragged the dead person out of the yard to declare them dead, and have the balls to make the statement that no one died in the Shipyard.

Many companies still play these games when it comes to injuries, medical emergencies, and/or deaths. But instead of using a rope, they "try" to use the time clock. Of course, those that try such tactics, depending on state laws, learn real quick that the time clock only protects them in wage and hour claims, and does not protect them from liability for injuries, medical emergencies, or deaths, when they are on company property, including designated parking lots.

OSHA is overall a very good thing, but it needs to be brought under control. I was fined because I didn't have my written log proving that I asked every employee every hour if they needed a drink, and what their response was. I paid another fine because an extension cord had a piece of tape on it.
