Well... there is more madness to my post then meets the eye.. You see, to do what I suggested above (SS end) would engender a greater degree of fiscal responsibility in the Congress in both fiscal policy and in monitoring or creating the means to monitor the typical 'investment' grade corporations. IF the future retirement of you all is dependent on this you WILL watch every move government makes and every dime they spend. Bazillions of dollars spent and put to debt will tweak the nerve or many who now are apathetic to what it means. Wars will not be so eagerly supported, it seems to me.

I can't disagree with that.
