holy fuck I can't believe this is actually true.

Well, it does put in the caveat of "of 2017" which implies that there could be better ones in future years AND there could have been better ones in previous years.
Technically, I guess it makes sense.

Now it must be called "Trump Care" or "Trump Triage."

Donald J. Trump, who learned nothing from his prestigious education, is a disaster, and as a disaster, it will only get worse. This is now my prediction for the next four years, unless we can be spared by either a miracle or an abrupt end with a lock-tight cover-story that resets the course of history in its public-opinion impact.

Donald J. Trump is a failure. Donald J. Trump is a loser. He is no "gentleman" -- he is a disgusting pig, as he has appeared to be over more than a dozen years. He isn't capable of some long-term strategy. His only strategy involves manipulation of his strongest base -- a minority of people who are either stupid, ignorant, or both.

Donald Trump is someone to be laughed at, and someone to be feared because of the chaos he has brought to an otherwise manageable situation.

And Donald J. Trump -- no gentleman, no businessman but only one who practices the gambler's art of the bluff, is a fraud and most probably a traitor.

I've never doubted you supported single payer, I doubt your ability to reconcile disparate facts, or even just to separate fact from fiction, due to your partisan nature. Pretty straight forward.
And that brings us full circle...

Such complexities are often perceived simply by those who are unable to conceive much of anything beyond their desire to understand.

You've already shown yourself for what you are and what you're really looking for here. That said, I'm done playing your little game of pretending you give a shit about what I think out of one side of your mouth while disparaging me out the other side. I really don't know why you bother unless it somehow gives you twisted satisfaction in some perverse way.

We should not call it TrumpCare, we should call it RepubliCare, and hang it around Republicans' necks long after they throw Trump under the bus.

Dude on Twitter, in response to one of Donald's tweets, called it "Don(ald)T(rump)Care" AKA: "DontCare"
Thought that was pretty witty.

This is all good -- from Homer here and Senseamp. Get out the pitchforks and torches, but do it thoughtfully with wit.

I've made the comment before that the ONE silver lining with the left losing is there tends to be way more creative and funny people on the left than the right. So at least the left is able to come up with funny memes, observations, videos, stories etc etc. Whereas the right would just come up with something stupid like "Killary".

The problem with a miracle or an abrupt end is that Donald Trump is merely the grotesque embodiment of the hatred in the hearts of 60 million Americans. That hatred won't go away with Trump whether he's here for 4 years, 8 years, or 1 year.

I know you like being a victim, but it's boring to read. I'm not "really looking for" anything except to point out partisans and, frankly, shame them when they troll people with fake sources, fake news, fake indignation, etc. Instead of pretending to be a dispassionate consumer of news & politics, you could instead admit you root for your political team no matter the ridiculous nature of their positions, be it healthcare, economics, immigration, etc. Not that we don't already know, so I guess either way your rhetoric ain't going to convince anyone, after all you were saying mere weeks ago you couldn't really predict what the GOP would put forth and were open to seeing what they'd do. Tell me, how badly have they disappointed you so far?

I'm disappointed in our President, both parties and your mentality as well. I'm not pretending anything here and it mystifies me why you would think such a thing...unless you're in full projection mode. Yes, I align with conservatives on many matters, but I don't on many other issues as well. Bottom line, I'm more of a pragmatist rather than an ideologue...perhaps that's what you find to be so confusing.

A large segment of that "voting base" did so out of economic desperation. We are approaching the end times of trickle down.
Trump promised them something better. That's not a vote borne of hate.

You obviously don't understand insurance. Have you ever shopped for it on the open market? I have my whole life. A barebones plan does cover breast cancer but does not cover preventative visits, colonoscopies, mental health, birth control and many other things

You're not looking very far ahead

They're not desperate- just scared shitless of being poor. They think that taking up the ideology of the job creators will help them be on the winning side.

I don't know any pragmatists that run interference for R's on healthcare (and Trump generally) while supporting single payer. Literally cannot be reconciled with reality. To each his own!

Do you have any evidence for that? Trump's voters had higher incomes than Clinton's did.

This morning I heard someone say he hated the term "Obamacare Lite" because that implies there's actually something redeeming to this plan, like less calories.

And as I've repeatedly indicated to you...you don't care to know much of anything beyond your desire and ability to understand. To each his own.

Whatever you gotta tell yourself I guess. Your posting record is quite clear and easily searchable. No one mistakes you as a tough pragmatist on Republican policy machinations, let's put it that way.

No problem...people stereotype me all the time here. A little background...I grew up extremely poor and personally believe that healthcare is a fundamental human right...especially in a country as rich as ours. Hell, we can spend trillions on wars and nobody blinks an eye...yet when it comes to taking reasonable care of our people's healthcare needs they scream bloody murder. I conceptually get what Republicans are trying to do...I just want them to do it a lot better. Democrats have incredible leverage right now...and I hope they take full advantage of it.

People stereotype you because you're the perfect stereotype of the modern conservative, prioritizing party/ideology over doing the right thing, or somehow try to blame the democrats when this piece of shit doesn't work out.

It's a fucking cancer on the country.
