well certainly. but the point is to look at the ones registered close to you, see what the offense was (ie, the child predator i posted earlier) and just keep your eyes open. i think the point of mapping sexual offenders is to just one more step to keep you aware of your surrounds. and yes, it doesn't keep you completely safe from attacks like this (such as family members doing the same thing) but it's just one more step to helping you out. take this: if the service didn't exist, then what how would you feel about knowing who your neighbors are?
