Almost as good as a New York cab driver..

PS - what is up with these forums and Firefox? Very glitchy. Always changes focus of the cursor to the subject line when I start typing..

Okay, not to discuss this keyhole thing further (well, actually, that's exactly what I'm doing...), but I downloaded the program (free 7-day trial), and it's out of control. There goes the next 7 days....

Words just can't describe my feelings for Google. It's simply AWESOME. I hope maybe later they'll have the sat images.

I'd gotten used to the awkwardness + the resizing + the imprecision of yahoo/mapquest, BUT...

I'd also gotten used to the yellow page functionality and the satellite/aerial photos.

I can say, REALLY efficient/elegant loading system, httpget requests rawk.

Needs abovementioned features and slightly better navigation (I had to go back to the USmap to enter other directions), and it'll be perfect.

Edit: It looks like all its location-finding is built into the 1 textbox parser, INCLUDING yellow pages. While impressive, this is very rough, and doesn't have contextual searches (like Yahoo maps' ability to search for every mexican restaurant in the area, regardless of its name).

my subdivision is missing here in oklahoma.

my moms road is missing in oregon.

nice for a geography lesson, but not finding an address

If you like Google Maps try the Google Keyhole thing. It, quite simply, rules.

Do they have a trial? All I could find was the original owners website and you had to download and install a program to use it.

right on the website:

7 day free trial

i must try it. 😉

Not bad. About the same as mapquest.

What are you smoking?!?! 😛

Haha, I really don't know what I was! I played around with it some more and would have to say it is a decent bit better.

Beats the other map sites, hands down. Not even a fair fight. The "drag" feature is enough for me. And, it's a much cleaner output.

Don't got that problem. I'm on FF 1.0.

Very nice maps!! I will definitely use this again for maps. Though it is easy to see why it is still in beta. Doesn't have a complete listing, but will definitely get you going in the right direction!!😉

it's painful when trying to scroll on mapquest n yahoo map

what they need now is to add a button to add a transparent sheet/overlay
of the mta train station/ bus stops
and also maybe one to show one way/2 way st to help find
traffic shortcuts
