Their stock won't deflate until they have a real competitor. The only company with the resources to do that is MS.
Jealous ? I'm not jealous of celebs, why would I be jealous of anyone else ? And are you assuming I'm middle class ? I am happy for anyone who does well and made their own way there, no matter who is funding it. The word is not jealous, it's more of an envy... it's nice to be them, but why should we look at them with spite ?Originally posted by: PolarNorth

Just one really, so don't expand this to anything else. I just think its odd having middle class defend the individuals pulling massive profits out of the like of google, when there profits (from stocks) come from us (the middle class). The masses of cash that is sustaining their stock price is increasing coming from 401K's, mutual funds, insurance companies, IRA's... This is how they made so much so quick.
You think they deserve it? Maybe, maybe not. My point is that increasing I think people are blind to Corporations brainwashing us to thinking that its the American Dream is to do what they are doing (Cashing out of IPO's with millions for example), and America should be proud of them. Jealous maybe, but not proud.
Don't be fooled, they are the ones with the living the Ultimate Dream, you are not part of it, you are just paying for it.
(Disclaimer, being middle class in the US is still great and can be considered 'living the dream' in its own right, compared to say 3'rd world countrys , and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else)
