Uhhh, Settings->Chat->Only allow people that I've explicitly approved to chat with me and see when I'm online????

You could've found this in the Settings menu in the time it took you to type that post.

From the documentation: "Gmail automatically determines which contacts you'll be able to talk to without having to invite each other -- if you don't want Gmail to automatically enable chat privileges with your contacts, follow these steps:"

if you read my post I said I found that, but their name and pic still show up in my Gmail that is what I wanted gone. I enabled that a month ago, yet still had 20 people on my list I've never spoken to outside of the single email I received from them. Guess another broke feature in the Beta application. No thing tho I ditched Gmail this morning and paid for a Mobile ME account.

I don't have a Blogger account iirc, but it wanted to link Picasa and Google Reader.
It was fairly simple to remove them.

In the "Welcome to Buzz" section of the window, find this link:
"view connected sites."

Click on Edit to the right of the site, and then click Remove

Oh I found that right away. It's the actual blogger account itself I can't get rid of.

I'd use AOL mail before going back to Yahoo. AOL mail is pretty good and has great spam protection and POP3 & Imap support unlike Yahoo & Live mail.

Just saying if you want to leave Gmail....

Or check out this list: http://email.about.com/od/freeemailreviews/tp/free_email.htm

I have no use for Buzz so I keep it disabled.....Don't know if I would even use Twitter.....

I was debating if I should re-join MySpace & maybe join Facebook as I had MySpace.....I did finally re-sign up and sign up with FaceBook. Just haven't felt like making my profiles yet......LOL! Have the accounts signed up. Just been busy with other things. I might start writing blogs about things I like.... *shrugs* Just never found a real reason for MySpace as I could call my friends or e-mail. You know?

E-mail is good enough for me, really. Gmail & Google Voice are nice. Social networking.... I never got into much. However I will give it a second shot. I guess....

So I'm not really Buzzed about Buzz. I don't see the real point?

You realize that that option only stops new ones from being added right? You would still need to delete the ones that were added from before you enabled it...

doesn't hurt to have a decent one, i got an inland one from frys when it was on sale, made of aluminum and the fans are very slow/quiet.
there are a ton of cheaper ones out there though. like 10 bucks, but they are plastic junk.
while a decent laptop theoretically has enough cooling, it doesn't hurt to help it out if you live in a hot area esp if its a desktop replacement. the cooling is probably designed good enough to last just past the warranty period😉

I'm sorry but the topic is in another thread.

I'll probably give it a few days before deciding whether to turn it off or not.

Definitely have some privacy concerns-- I don't really like how Google just decided who I was following/who was following me.

Go to your "edit profile" page and set your privacy settings. If you notice even if people can see who you follow only public profiles will show up. It will say something like "and 25 private followers...". You can hide just your email if you want, too. It didn't really try to automatically add everyone that I chat with - must be my chat settings. *shrug*
