if you've got your priorities so screwed that you're putting an MMORPG before RL friends/family/so's, then yeah. you probably need a break from playing :)

I probably log 12-18 hours/week into WoW, but I generally play during times when there's nothing better to do. the only thing really getting cut from my life as a result of playing WoW is the amount of television I watch.

You know, Denial isnt just a river in Egypt.....

This reminds me of an ad for games, I think it was for EB or Wal-Mart games. I'll see if I can find it.

<-------- Addicted

Its way to involved, to get anything done takes 30 minutes at least, just to set it up, and then an instance takes like 2-5 hours. THAT?S A HELL OF A COMMITMENT. I feel bad for my buddy; he had never played a MMORPG now he?s on Wow at least 60 hours a week. I was like "this is a mistake, but lets sign up for the free beta". He just graduated he has no job and moved back with his parents, they nag him all the time, and its all my fault i should have never introduced him to it.

Myself i fade in and out of my addiction sometimes playing more one week than another.

When it starts to fvck with your sex life there is a problem!

i'm like you.

I can't stand playing more than maybe 2 hours at a time. After 2 hours I have to exit the game and do something else...watch tv, get up and walk around, surf internet, chat w/ friends, go out to eat w/ friends, etc. Then maybe after I do something else I will play a little more.

I love WoW...don't get me wrong, it's one DAMN fun game. I just need to mix it up with other things. I can see how people can get sucked into the game and play for hours on end....but I just can't do that.

Instances piss me off the most haha.

I've been soo tempted to buy this game too, I'm on the verge of doing it and I know it'll suck me in like a little crack rock. I've got an extremely addictive personality and well.....y'know.

I'm trying really hard not to whip out my bank card the past day or two.

*looks to the skies for assistance*

My wife will kill me if I get it too, I just know it.

It is like any game, takes your time till you finish it.

Get to lvl 60 then you can spend less time on WOW!!!!

Why are you awake at 2am? Primarily to play the game? Go to bed earlier, get up earlier, and work on bettering yourself.

MMORPGs can be bad, I pretty much don't play them any more... But they can be fun if you have an SO who also plays them. :) If someone is only playing them part of the time and still giving their SO time too, they are ok. :) But when you get to the point where you start not going out to dinner or something since your character died, it has gone a bit too far. hehe

I had the same problem that you had. We talked it over and now I play on my laptop in the living room. She loves it cuz we are in the same room, I love it cuz I still get to play and she isnt getting on to my arse any more. Its kind of a win win thing...

WoW is stupid. I went to my friend's house, played for a bit, then quickly stopped. It bored me. Run around, gain levels, big whoop. Sex is more fun.

I work from 4 pm - 12 am. after running errands and picking up dinner, I get home around 1 am and don't really get tired until 5-6 am.

Tommorow will be 2 weeks since I gave up WoW. I am currently feeling no withdrawl symptoms.

I walked away from a 54 NE Hunter and a 38 Troll Priest. At this point not only am I not feeling the need to play. I actually don't feel like playing.

Let me be an example for all... you can walk away. It can be done.

I hate those damn games, my parents divorced because of evercrack. If my boyfriend was playing any those games I would break up with him, after alot of warnings, but I would. It sounds strange to blame a game for so much but I seriously think those types of games can ruin people (for a period of time) and their relationships.

So from a girl's perspective: those things are a complete turn-off.

Addiction = teh bad!
