Basically,

I was going from school towards home, got close to line, light turned yellow, continued to go. Two cars in turning lane facing me, one decided to turn (yellow car), I let off gas. Jeep (black) stupidly decides to follow, I go to the right with foot ready to brake. Jeep continues to come and punches the gas (as it seems). I slammed brakes, got side swiped by Cherokee, pushed into Dakota (blue). Both airbags deployed, both sides hit. Damage all over. Cherokee had the front screwed up, was able to drive over to a gas station to get out of the intersection (not her, cops did it). Dakota was totally undrivable (front wheel bent towards engine).

Big question is if the jeep stopped and was ticketed?

All three cars involved in the accident stayed on the scene...cop determined it was Jeep driver's fault, not sure what exactly went through...going to pickup police report tomorrow, called my insurance as soon as I got home, so. Not sure exactly how the claim/buying would work though either.

I'll sell you mine. I haven't gotten to drive it in over 2 years now.

Appreciate it, I'm looking at maybe getting the exact same thing (M6, SS, Convertible, Same color too) if I can with low miles (mine had roughly 64k or so). But I'll be looking around, all depends on how much I get from the insurance. I've only found two in Florida and they are both around $14k so I might have to settle for something closer with a few more miles and different options.

Looks like I was the lucky one today. very nearly t-boned some lady in an suv who turned left across me from a parking lot onto the main road. would have been a total of both for sure, maybe injuries if I had t-boned her drivers side

Best of luck in dealing with insurance. Seems many of them are complete jack asses. I was in an accident last November that was caused by a Jeep Patriot that was completely oblivious to a light that had turned red about 5 seconds before he entered the intersection. Fortunately, he hit the passenger side of a different car which then spun around and hit me on the driver side.

Took about 2-3 weeks for the Patriot's insurance lady to "determine" who was at fault. Every time on the phone with her I was polite and simply stated, you have a police report. Your client ran a red light. There is no question who is at fault.

Actually, now that I recall, I had a family get together (wife's fam) on the other side of the state to get to. On our way out (the day of the accident, after the accident), we got a call from their agency basically trying to get us to admit some sort of fault. I was driving so my wife (she happened to be across from me on the same intersection where the accident happened) was on the phone, and after hearing her responses to this guy, had her hand me the phone and was very sharp/direct with the guy on the other end. Basically, that guy I gave a nice in direct F U as he was trying to pull some shady stuff.

Just a word OP, make sure you're prepared for any bullshit the other guy's insurance tries to do. Chances are, they'll try to get you to admit some level of partial fault. I'm sure you're already aware, but if not...

Can you get your rims and anything else you've changed on the car?

Rims + exhaust were on there when I got it. Front rims looked okay, so did the back passenger side...back driver side was screwed. I'm not gonna bother grabbing them off, Borla was just a catback which I was planning on replacing within a month anyways, other than that there were just lowering springs that were installed by the PO.

I've thought it would be cool to make chairs out of car seats, though I don't know what you can take from your car in this case.
