I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for a watercooling pump that has really good flow but isnt to expensive. My pump i think just isnt adequate anymore. Maybe recomend a good radiator also. My temps on my E8400 are just to high and i think my pump just doesnt have enough flow to keep them down and same for my radiator.
What i currently have is an Eheim 1048 pump and a black ice extreme from dangerden which originally i got for my athlon xp like 7 years ago lol. My waterblock i think is fine because it may be old but its still a copper block and its making exllect pressure and contact, but the pump/rad isnt because during orthos the block and tubes are pretty warm to the touch, obviously showing me the block is taking heat from the cpu but the radiator just isnt able to keep up with the heatload.
I am upstairs vs being downstairs now so my ambiant room temp has got to be at least 10-15F warmer. So obviously my temps are higher then they were back then, i am still able to reach 4400mhz i ran a bunch of vantage tests last nite with my 4890. The tubes were just way to warm i could feal the heat comming from the radiator being blow out.
Im thinking maybe i should get a eheim 1250 which has 2x more waterflow then my current model (317GPH, vs 158GPH) but its $120. As for radiator's im not sure really. Size doesnt really matter because i keep my pump and radiator outside the case. I only W/C my cpu btw not the GPU/
