you can do what you want when you want to and noone can tell you otherwise
ylu can party with your buds whenever

no commitment
not obligated to call a person 24:7

You're not wasting money on stupid stuff for the g/f.

Especially flowers! I appreciated them when I had an operation and just got out of the hospital, but flowers on every single date are extremely non-straight.

Can flirt shamelessly with anyone and everyone.
Don't bother anyone by keeping weird and erratic sleep/work schedules.
Can cook just when and what I feel like.
Don't have to clean up after someone else.
I know my stuff will stay where I put it.
Don't have to check with someone else when making plans.🙂

There can be nothing better than the ignorance of being single. When your single all you want is a girl to be by your side but you forget everything that comes with it. On good days, I say there is nothing better than being in love. But sometimes on the bad days, I think that the heartache and sadness that comes with being with someone just isn't worth it. Each of their ups and downs but being single is really not that bad.

you are king of your house or apartment..

The most important fact of all. 😎

All women are controlling. Period. Some are more outright than others, but after you move in together, give it a few months.

It starts innocently enough:

Honey...instead of watching ESPN, why don't you come in here and do me....

Whos' going to argue w/that logic, right? 😀

But then, you get:

Didn't you just watch that Discovery episode last week or something? I thought we were going to go check out the new Wicker by WallaWisha gallery that just opened?

Eventually degrading to:

Dammit, Mike...when you come home from work all you do is play on that stupid computer or watch movies! When do we get to do what I want to do?!!!
]

Never, bitch. That's why I live alone.😎

I have GFs. I get some at least once/twice a month. I'm happy.

sounds like someone doesnt wear the pants when they are in a relationship

Can take off to Europe every summer for at least 4 weeks at-a-time without a ball-and-chain telling me I cannot.

As someone already said: can work erratic hours without having to be home at a certain time.

The weekend is yours...can go to LAN parties...

I don't understand your comment. I don't like answering to anyone, and never did. People will try to ask me my business when I'm in a relationship and tell them in nicer terms to eff off. Make it extremely clear I will not be calling (read: that means they're not supposed to be calling me all the time, either).

I have to admit, though, I am starting to look for a decent guy! Slim pickin's out there.

One thing I really hated: When I would sit down in front of the tv while she was watching it, I'd find that she was watching some Lifetime movie. When I got up to leave, I'd get the "why can't you just be with me?" talk.

I would rather run an icepick through my head than watch movies on the Lifetime channel.

Amen.

The worst is when you come back from a day out on the town or something, you go to sit down and relax, maybe watch some tv or listen to music, and it's "Why don't you want to talk to me?" Because I spent the entire day talking to you! Now I want to withdraw into my shell of manly isolation and recoup my energy and thoughts. Good god.
