I'm looking for some other good tequilas I haven't had. Someone told me Cazadores is good high quality tequila, so I might try it next. How would you compare it?
My favorite as of now is Don Julio, but it's expensive, and the bar I frequent doesn't carry it. When I don't have much cash or am at a bar that doesn't carry the best stuff, I'll drink Sauza or 1800.
I haven't tried Cabo Wabo yet, partly because of price, and not wanting to risk it always bought Don Julio instead. How does it compare?
What about Patron?
A friend liked Herradurra a lot so I got a bottle but don't care for it too much.
I've tried the usual not-so-good cheap stuff - Two Fingers, Jose Quervo (bleh), Montezuma (gag!), etc.
Also, do you usually get Añejo, Reposado, silver, gold, or blanco, etc, if there's the choice?
I wish I could buy the expensive stuff cheaper online, but I live in one of the damn states that doesn't allow alcohol mail order (TN). So I can't get in on the wine deals either.
Update: supposedly good tequilas mentioned in this thread, plus a few other links:

A few other tequila websites (recommendations, theory):
http://www.ianchadwick.com/tequila/buying.html - a very good article (mentions a $1000 bottle of tequila!); mentions the change of 1800 to 100% agave which explains why my older bottle wasn't 100%; also that Tres Generaciones used to not be 100%; Good tips & info on that and the other pages on the site.
