I never really listened to any sort of techno music but every once in a while I will hear a song and like it. Anyone have any band suggestions or song suggestions? There are a few Daft Punk songs I like, so take that as a clue to help me find more I might like.

Dntel (for starters try High Horses Theme)

He is also the guy behing the music for The Postal Service if any of you like them, although doesn't get as much attention or credit as Gibbard unfortunately.

I swear, one of these days, I will make a complete list of CD's, singles, and tracks that everyone likes. I see soo many of these threads, and most people are just picking apart a few songs that were hits a few years ago.

Trance is NOT the same beat over and over again, but instead has deep melodies and plenty of vocals (These days.) And if you label all "Electronic" Music as "Techno", that's fine. I see plenty of people doing it these days, and there's no point in trying to explain the difference.

List some other songs you like, and I'll get you a list of tracks that are similar.

And to all the "Tiesto Sux" or "Oakenfold Sux" comments, here's an idea. How about you listen to what you like? One thing I've noticed is that in this genre, someone becomes un-popular as soon as they become popular. Make sense? Just go with what is pleasant to your senses.

Hey Y'all , if you want some GREAT TECHNO, listen to "The Prodigy", exceptional albums include......Fat of the Land....and .....Music for the Jilted Generation.

I've seen van *** play 6+ hour sets numerous times, and I've seen sasha play with digweed a few times.
Sasha and digweed split ways and digweed definatly became the superior dj/producer by far. Though no I'm not a big fan of them.

There is some older stuff of theirs that I like, but it's more funked out and less techtrance crap.
