that guy's daughter who worked at the shop had loaded his gun with blanks, right? I kinda forget how everything happened in that movie.

I don't think you ever see the gun being loaded, but she did BUY him blanks.

Which is ungodly unbelievable because you can't just buy blanks at any gun shop and its terribly obvious to a complete gun noob that there is no round in the bullet.

Refer to my post above, this movie is terrible.

True, blanks aren't available at gun shops, they are actually more restricted than PEAK ammo or FMJ's but there ARE blanks that neither you nor me could distinguish from a regular round, at least in a 9mm casing.

I refuse to even acknowledge the 2004 film. Absolute garbage AND stole the title of a fairly recent and AWESOME film.

Like someone said, contrived BS to quell hollywierd's white guilt.

This. Every time I see someone mention the movie crash I keep expecting to see this movie, instead it's always the more recent one.

For those who don't know the original one is a strange arthouse / softcor pornish film about people who develop a fetish surounding car crashes. It's strange but better than it sounds.

Strange? You have a serious thing for understatement. I still haven't decided if it's brilliant or absolute dreck, but it's one of those films that sticks with you, for better or worse.

I told you, I'm not interested in your so-called fixes. Got anything to say? Say it yourself. Don't make fun of other people by altering their statements, that's juvenile.

I wasnt making fun of his post. I was taking it a little bit further. Now. Why dont you unbunch your panties and move along.

I liked it when I saw it. Had a pretty decent feel for it - 6.5/10. Haven't seen it again since and don't think of it as a 'must-see' kind of flick. I remember liking a few scenes from it; for instance the scene where Ludacris and his friend rant about racial stereotypes after something like this happens and then proceed to jack Fraser/Bullock's car

I just watch this pile. Too preachy. The story was uninteresting, dull and boring. Wow, all walks of life are racist.

On the plus side, there was some good acting by Cheadle and Howard. Some of the cinematography was nice, but not great. I could tell it was a noob at the helm. The score, or soundscape, is nothing new. It felt like a rehash of what composers have done in other, better films such as Solaris, Babel, The Fountain, etc.

It's extremely overrated.

Coincidence does not make a movie good. What's more, they were too heavy handed about it. The first half was believable. The second half was just killing the lily.

Edit: Also agree with the people who note this got best picture because of guilty rich white liberals in Hollywood.
