Dan Price is a CEO who was pulling a million dollar salary from his company or around that, and decided some years back to raise all his employees to a 70K minimum wage and draw a much lower salary. He tweets a lot about the experience of his company, his employees, what they do with their increased earnings, but mostly about the business atmosphere in this country and this particular thread was pretty intense. I read about him recently. It appears that, despite the morons who actually believed that a private business setting their own employee wages at a minimum level was "socialism," his company has been doing just fine, despite some COVID impact.

Meanwhile, what his tweet is about is actual socialism, right-wing style.

yeah they literally called a private business owner giving his employees great wages as socialism lol These people are evil.

Good guy business owner pays his employees well and keep a reasonable cap on the ratio between his employee pay and his own.

If all business owners were like this... I GUESS NO ONE WOULD HAVE TO YELL ABOUT SOCIALISM!

I think his points are really quite fair. You can give corporations tax breaks, bailouts etc and they will still fire people, not raise wages, lower benefits because it benefits the companies bottom line and not the employees.
