Hey I just got suspended from my hostpc account because to break it down, they suck :thumbsdown:.. anyway im lookin for a new and cheap web host (around $30/year).

someone give me some suggestions please :beer:
 
Ya know, I really dont usually take issue with comments like this - with nothing to back them up - but this one is just plain wrong and I feel the need to defend it.

This customers account was due for renewal on 2005-08-17
We sent payment notices as follows:
Payment Due Notice sent 2005-08-02
Payment Due Notice sent 2005-08-10
Payment Due Notice sent 2005-08-15
Late Notice sent 2005-08-17
Account Suspended 2005-08-19

to the registered email address on file - which he received, and responded with:

Hey I keep getting emails from you guys like this and other
weird annoying ones from my godaddy account.. im frankly
tired of messing with this stuff, so im just not going to
do anything, and if my account stops working, then oh
well.

but im not updating my billing info again. I have dial
up!!

So HostPC sucks cause you didn't want to update your billing information and pay for services? Thats just not right. Best of luck with your new host.

Sounds like maybe they lost his information 1 too many times. Don't know until you've heard both sides of the story. 🙂

sounds like it was time to renew his account for another year. Once i year shouldnt be a hassle. Oh well 🙂

It was his first year, Paypal payment - no billing to lose.

No you're correct, it's not ... but we didn't start it either, rather felt compelled to defend my company's name from false statements. I've removed all identifying information from the information I've posted - there's no domain or names being mentioned. The OP knows who he is, and so do I - thats all that matters.

I really don't think you even need to respond to an attack like this. Everyone knows hostpc.com is a very well respected host.
 
I don't see this as private info. There's no identifying information other then dates when invoices went out and the OP's rather bizarre and childish response to them. I would have done same probably.

Thing is, people come to forums and cry foul about their hosts, but when the host deems it appropriate to defend themselves from unfair accusations, some people seem to get the idea that they have no right to do so.

That is hypocritical.
