Actually I like that idea, instead of outright banning people, just confine them to one forum.
I guess that it depends on why people are banned though. I assume that the forum is on the hook for dodgy content even if it is in a quarantined forum. But if they were just a pita it would be funny.

We do need a new generation of wounded monitor children.
I landed here just after they split F/S off for the WMC’s. Was on Sharky’s Machine and something-something 3D. Forgot its name…hell getting old.

Been in and out over the decades…probably on third handle.

Gonna hate this place disappearing. Would like to see it move somewhere so it can continue.

Man, AT was where I learned pretty much everything I know about hardware. Haven't been visiting as much recently, but I'll miss the site deeply. Glad the forums are staying around, though -- I haven't commented in forever, but I still lurk sometimes.

I do have a forum, it's completely dead, but could act as a backup. https://www.anythingforums.com/

Used to run 4 different forums over the course of 20 years and recently combined them all into one. If traffic actually picked up I could easily add/rearrange categories as needed too.
Wasn’t there some guy who got sick of the slow forums performance and started his own mad geeks or something similar?
Maybe that was at Tom’s Forums. I can’t remember I want to say 2012-ish.

I've felt like this before, when boot closed down. Listening to this news really takes me back, as someone who was lucky enough to be a teen in the glorious 90s. Wow.

C'est la vie. Sad news, but I get it. Glad the forums will stick around somehow, oh and someone should probably slap biostud. Please and thank you.
