Going to the U.S soon... Michigan Detriot to be Exact

Just wondering if i should pick up anything in the U.S. that is considerably cheaper than it is in Canada. So far I'm thinking some headphones, Soccer Shoes, and maybe some computer stuff. Anything worth picking up?

Also, are there any good computer/electronic stores worth checking out in Detriot?

Will you save enough to pay the duty imposed on the items when you return? IIRC, Customs charges are pretty steep for many things.

If you are coming to the US why are you entering through the anal canal?

Sounds like a good Republican...always thinking about gay secks...

women in U.S will have sex with you.

Just go up to them and tell them you want sex and they will do you on the spot.

try it

so any real suggestions? I'm also thinking about picking a digi cam. Canon A620's go for ~$300 CDN. While in the U.S. they can go from ~$200.
Our family is thinking about spending LESS than $1000

err...im 15..

Canucks can't have secks at 15? Lots of prostitutes in the Detroit area who would be willing to overlook your age...for a fee...then, you could take something EXTRA home...STD's...

Amtrak offers train service between Detroit and the Chicago area, where a Fry's Electronics store is located.

o rly? how much? and btw AmdEmAll, I will be in the suburbs of detriot for most of the time, and occasionally IN detriot...

Microcenter is a good store (depending on the deal) and its on 14 Mile and I-75. Sommerset Mall (16 Mile and I-75) also has some stores (Apple store is there I believe but don't expect anything cheap there - its an "upscale" mall).

Which direction are you headed to in Detroit?

that not so bad! I'll be sure to stop by micro centre! btw, I really dont know what part of michigan we'll be going to but it will be the northern suburbs of detriot.

uhhh, it's still going to be cheaper to just get stuff online

Yup might as well check out all the sites that don't ship to Canada and buy online while in the USA. If you dont have a credit card then give somebody cash or buy a prepaid card.

$19.20, each way:

Look for: "350 or 355 Wolverine"
Expect a full day for each way. It's not worth it. My wife took that train two years ago and spent the better part of the day on it.

I enjoy Microcenter, it's a pretty cool store with rather high prices. Typically I'll just go there to look and see what I like, then buy online. If I need something immediately, then I'll buy it there.
