Going to See Louis CK Tomorrow

I'm not british but have you seen anything with Jimmy Carr or Ricky Gervais? They are probably the funniest comedians around.

Yes. They and Eddie Izzard would be middle of the pack stand up comics in the US. They're funny, but nowhere near the level of a Louis CK or Chris Rock.

I'm a fan. Many here aren't, especially of his show. His show is low budget and low key -- obviously no stable of high-priced writers -- so I understand this, but I still like it. His stand-up is choice, though.

I think Ricky Gervais is. when I was trying to think of top Brit comedians, he came out on top for me. mainly, because I can actually understand wtf he's saying 90% of the time, unlike the 36% of the time for most other comedians (accent and references that make no sense to an American).

I think I like him more than L CK

I like him quite a bit.. the first season of his show was awesome, it seems like this season is trying to become more of a comedy/drama than just a comedy.. which I don't think is a good direction to take it.

At first I thought his show was alright, but I find myself watching it whenever it is on. When he makes me laugh, I laugh hard. I love the episode when that woman keeps talking in the audience, and then he tears her down.

I relate to Louis CK.

Exactly. The moments where he makes you laugh you are doubled over... most of the other time you are too busy cringing 😛
